We offer welcoming and tranquil rural accommodation at the Ranakpur Camel Lodge, located at the LPPS Camel Conservation Centre, near Rajasthan's famous Ranakpur Jain temples.
A friendly Ranakpur homestay
The Ranakpur Camel Lodge is a homestay with a difference – a chance to learn more about camel culture as well as relaxing in a peaceful environment. There is a warm welcome from our friendly staff and you can enjoy carefully-prepared homestyle food, try camel milk and camel cheese from our farm dairy and make visits around the area. We are very much part of the local community, and there are opportunites to meet local people, take a camel or camel cart ride, or even go out camel herding for the day. The Ranakpur Camel Lodge is open from October to April. Rates are from INR 2000 per night. Please enquire for rates and activities.

Families with autistic children
We welcome families with autistic children, and accommodation may be made available at reduced rates if needed. Drinking camel milk has been shown to offer benefits for some children, and children are able to drink fresh camel milk during their stay. You can arrange supply of frozen milk for home consumption. If you would like to try camel milk for your child, please enquire.
Writer's retreat
We welcome author, artists, journalists and academics for longer stays. There are few of the distractions of the modern world, no TV, (although we do have intermittent internet access!) no bar, and no nightlife! Just clean, simple accommodation in a rural setting, a quiet place to think, write and find your inspiration. LPPS co-founder Ilse Kohler-Rollefson wrote her book Camel Karma here; writers, poets and editors who have stayed tell us it's ideal. Please enquire for rates.
